Model of clinical supervision
I utilize a psychotherapy focused model of supervision. The main focus of this model is the implementation, learning and growth associated with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. I also integrate the developmental model of supervision which takes into account where you are at in your learning journey as well as the the process model of supervision which ensures that we also have a focus on the relationship with the client, and the relationship between the supervisor/supervisee to understand what may be coming up in the therapy room.
Theoretical Orientation
My theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
I also work from a structural and systemic lens, Neurodiversity framework and from the Social model of disability.
The following is also integrated when helpful:
Mindfulness
Self compassion
Adapted DBT (Skills System for adults with intellectual disabilities)
Trauma Informed Care
Person Centered Planning
